The PDVI will undertake a range of activities to provide robust estimates of the burden of disease attributable to dengue, to assess the economic and prevention effectiveness of dengue vaccination strategies, to strengthen surveillance for dengue, to develop and promote plans for national and international procurement and distribution to the poor in dengue endemic countries, and to develop effective communications about dengue as a vaccine preventable disease.
