Srisakul
(Susie) Kliks, PhD., is Director of the Vector Borne Diseases
Research Program, Office of the President, University
of California, Oakland, California. Dr. Kliks received
her Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine and Medical Microbiology
and Immunology, University of Hawaii, School of Medicine,
in 1980. Her research interests include the pathogeneses
of dengue hemorrhagic fever and HIV/AIDS and their implications
to vaccine development, during her tenure as a Research
Virologist and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University
of California at Berkeley and at San Francisco, respectively.
She has accumulated seven years of experience in research
program development including research grant administration,
with University of California AIDS Research Program, Office
of the President.
