Dianna Edgil joined PDVI as staff scientist in September of 2006. She received a Ph.D., in Infectious Diseases and Immunity from the University of CA, Berkeley, in 2004, where her graduate work focused on the determination of the mechanism of translation initiation of the dengue virus genome. Prior to her arrival in Seoul, Dr. Edgil acted as a scientific consultant with the Sustainable Sciences Institute, collaborating with dengue reference laboratories in Nicaragua and Ecuador on the integration of novel molecular techniques into an existing dengue diagnostics program.
